KIDS’ MUSIC SHOWCASE

Musical Memories, offered to Primary Division (4 to 6 years old) 1 hr

9:30 amKids Showcase: Induces kids with weekly songs involving movement, story, sing-alongs, and instruments.
9:45 amInstruments: Children transition to the piano or other instruments, and the teacher circulates to provide guidance to students who are prepared to learn.
10:00 amPerformance I: Children get the opportunity to perform their piano pieces for the class.
10:10 amPerformance II: All students in the Primary Division will sit and listen while the students in Division 1 Juniors presents to the class.
10:30 amDismissal: An extended stay option is not available for the Preschool Division. Students in Division 1 Primary proceed to the Junior Music Class.

JUNIOR MUSIC CLASS

Interactive piano lesson combining performance, private instruction, and peer interaction, offered to Division 1 Plus (5 to 12 years old) 1 hr

10:00 amArrival: Sit quietly and listen to the presentation from the Preschool and Primary Divisions.
10:10 amPerformance II: Students give presentations to the class about the songs they are presently focusing on. Participation is mandatory.
10:30 amPiano Practice: Proceed to the piano/keyboard and sit down. Start by reviewing your Action Plan, which specifies the goals you aim to achieve by the end of today’s session and your objectives for the week. Begin your practice once the teacher approves your Action Plan. Brief 2-5 minute breaks for restroom visits or water are allowed, but snacks are not permitted. Any break longer than 5 minutes will result in the termination of your session for the day, and you will be asked to leave. The total time for all breaks should not exceed 10 minutes between 10:30 am and 11:30 am. No student is allowed to simply hang out or engage in activities unrelated to piano practice. Disturbing or distracting others is also not allowed. Young beginners may work on music theory or writing tasks if they have fulfilled their Action Plan objectives. Early dismissal for young beginners is permitted from 11:00 am, but must be pre-approved through a request from the parent. All other students are required to stay for the full class duration. Students are graded each week on attendance, behavior, work ethics, and progress.
 Private Lesson: During the practice session, students will be individually called upon to assess their technique and song progress, starting with the youngest in age. They may be called multiple times to monitor their direction and ongoing progress.
11:30 amDismissal: All students are expected to leave at the end of the session. If you require additional time, you can opt for an extension, subject to availability. During this additional time, students should follow a clear activity plan. For guidance on effective time management, they can consult the BAAM Club’s After School Chart.

GENERAL MUSIC CLASS

Division 1 Plus & Division 2 (9 to 15 years old) 45 min

12:15 pmPerformance III / Practice: The first group of students will perform their songs that they are working on currently and present to the class, while the second group of students practice. (15 minutes)
12:30 pmPerformance IV / Practice: The second group of students will perform their songs that they are working on currently and present to the class, while the first group of students practice. (15 minutes)
12:45 pmMusic Theory: Covers the Introduction to Music Theory. (15 minutes)
1:00 pmDismissal: All students are expected to leave at the end of the session. If you wish to extend your practice time, you can choose the “Piano Practice” option, subject to space availability. Students with lessons scheduled later the same day are permitted to stay without needing to add an extension. For extended stay, lasting more than 30 minutes add on, students may use the BAAM Club’s After School Chart for guidance on how to structure their time effectively.
